Shilpa Shetty is on a three-day mauna vratham at Oneness. That is quite an ordeal for someone as talkative as Shilpa, but she is very happy with her new state. She is into meditation these days, thanks to the spirituality course at the Oneness University that the actress has taken to. Shilpa, who always has been very health conscious, was introduced to the Oneness spirituality course by a friend. The course has taken celebrities all over the world by storm. Before you fix a goal or a vision for yourself, question yourself why? Why do I have this intent? What is the propelling force behind your intent? Is it to gain stability, to have pleasure, to gain significance and love, is it to win acceptability or is it for growth and contribution? If the reasons are convincing and are more in number, then the inspiration will stand long. On the other hand if they are not, there is not sufficient fuel to push you forward.

Bhagavan answers questions about enlightenment

Question: Bhagwan, how do you give enlightenment? How is it possible to give enlightenment?

Bhagwan: Ah yes. Basically it is through the process of what is called 'deeksha', an electrical energy which transfers through some kind of a hole in the mind of man. We believe that the mind of man is like a wall, which divides man from God. The deeksha is an electrical energy that makes a hole in this wall, which we call the mind. Once that happens, then God and man can come to relate with each other. The way they relate has to do with his background, his conditioning, his aspirations, his education, so many factors. But it is God who gives enlightenment, whether you call it God or cosmic consciousness or nature, call it what you want. So that takes over and enlightenment is delivered through God. He is the one who delivers. Our job is to give the deeksha and make a hole in the mind, and then God does the rest. It's a very complex process that only God can do.
